Kinavalli Jukebox

01. Pani Malarum
Nabeel Azeez & Roshni Suresh
Music : Shashwath

The opening song in Kinavalli Album. Composed by Shashwath is a typical malayalam melody rich in musical instruments but fails completely in lyrics department. Nishad Ahmed penned the lyrics where Nabeel Azeez and Roshni Suresh rendered the song. Both performed very well and Shahswath’s mellow application of instruments lifts the song to a certain extent

02. Raa Mazhayo
Vijay Jesudas, Vijesh Gopal & Roshni Suresh
Music : Shashwath

The song written by Rajeev Nair seems to be a friendship song, which has a mix of several genres which will soothe your ear. Vijay Jesudas, Vijesh Gopal and Roshni Suresh renders the song in a well mannered way. The flute, bag-pipes were used and mixed in an intelligent way. Shashwath’s composition deserves an applause.

03. Kallakkathakkaaraane
Ramshi & Rafeeq Rahman
Music : Shashwath

An energetic song with peppy lyrics sung by Ramshi & Rafeeq Rahman. Composed using folk beats with funny lyrics and both singers delivered with the same feel. Shashwath once again scores the music. The lyrics were penned by Nishad Ahmed.

04. Aaraarum Kaanathe
Reshma Menon
Music : Shri Sai Surendran

Here comes my favorite track from the album. Composed by the debutant Shri Sai Surendran using mellow instruments and he himself pens the lyrics. Brilliant vocals of Reshma Menon (debutant) and is accompanied by progressive Grand Piano and Violin. The lyrics is beautiful and will evokes your emotions for sure. I have totally fell in love with Reshma Menon’s voice and she is one to watch out.

05. Chalamelara
Sujith Raj Kochukunju
Music : Mangal Suvarnan

Those who might have heard “Who Are You” from Who Movie will know this guy’s capability. Yes, the Dubai based EDM producer Mangal Suvarnan comes with trance mix of Thyagaraja Bhagavathar’s “Chalamelara”. The excellent rendition of electronic music is a celebration for the trance lovers. Sujith Raj Kochukunju delivers it in style.

06. Aaro Thaniye
Roshni Suresh
Music : Shri Sai Surendran

A thoughtful solo from the amazing vocals of Roshni Suresh which hav shades of Aaraarum Kaanaathe, lyrics and composed by Shri Sai Surendran. The song slowly progresses which evokes the emotions with the support of piano and the mild violin.

My picks : Raa Mazhayo, Aaraarum Kaanaathe, Charamelara, Aaro Thaniye

Director Sugeeth always keen to give opportunity to the young musicians is highly appreciable. He assures again that his movie songs is a boon to the music lovers.
A must listen album for its versatility and i will give out 3.25 out of 5
